Harald Pomper “strange”
About the event
Or: Why do humans have such a hard time with themselves?
With his wonderfully profound programs, the award-winning cabaret artist and singer-songwriter Harald P. Pomper has been delighting visitors throughout the German-speaking world for years.
Following his almost clairvoyant programs "Endspiel Demokratie" (2016 to 2019) and "Anders als geplant" (since 2020), Pomper now deals with the difficulties that humans so often have with themselves. In doing so, Pomper engages in a conversation with God and tries to peddle religions in a run-down boutique. He illuminates actual or alleged differences between the rural and urban population and sets out in search of the culprits behind the human's constantly throbbing dissatisfaction. He finds what he is looking for in science, among other places, and also draws on philosophers of Roman antiquity such as Seneca.
