On the occasion of this year's anniversary year "200 Years of Johann Strauss Jr.", moritz&co is embarking on a new musical journey. Nine varied pieces by the Waltz King were arranged by Sebastian Moritz, recorded in the studio, and subsequently pressed onto CD and vinyl.

Among them are world-famous hits such as the Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka, the Annen Polka, and The Blue Danube.

The initial uncertainty as to whether Johann Strauss's music would even work with instrumentation featuring brass instruments turned very quickly into euphoria after the first arrangement. “Strauss in Brass” works. And how! Highly motivated, the now 17-year-old conductor Sebastian Moritz searches through the many compositions of Johann Strauss Jr. and selects above all suitable and well-known works that fit the instrumentation of moritz&co. An intensive time of arranging follows. At the same time, dates for rehearsals and recordings are checked. As part of the Strauss concert, compositions by Christian Kolonovits (Crazy Dance of Plants) and original compositions will also be played.
