The alarm clock rings, way too early,
My body refuses with effort.
The coffee black, the gaze is rigid,
Monday is here once again.
The emails pile up like mountains,
I ask myself what I'm achieving.
The output drops, frustration rises,
Until the clock strikes time to head home.
A day like chewing gum, so tough,
Oh Monday, you really hurt.
But never mind, I'll endure it,
Because eventually I'll head back home.
